Sometimes we look to others for inspiration, other times we look to them for comfort, and yet other times we look to them in admiration. But have you ever wondered if you are the person that has inspired someone else, or given comfort, albeit unknowingly, in a time of need, or been the object of admiration? The chances are that you have or that you quite possibly will be. So live for inspiration, that you may inspire others. Live to find solace and comfort, that those who befriend you may find peace instead of chaos. Live to appreciate those whom you admire, that one day someone may admire you in the same fashion. Live for the ideal, because you never know when it may become your reality.
I’ve realized a lot of things to be grateful for today. I’ve realized that I need to be grateful for all of the people in my life, whether they are friends and family that stand by me or people who have left my life for whatever reason, because even those people, the ones who leave, have taught me lessons that have made me the person I am today. I realized that I need to be grateful for all of the opportunities I have had whether they have been successful or not, because they’ve helped me live a life of “oh wells,” and “sweet deals,” rather than a life of “what ifs.” I’ve realized that being grateful for the life I get to live rather than wishing for an idealized version of the life I’d like to lead allows me to achieve the things I wish for. And most of all, I’ve realized that living a life with an attitude of gratitude gets me a lot further than anything else I could have ever imagined.
